The Bay Area continues to be one of the top areas for growth in STEM-based industries and needs a skilled workforce to meet the demand. HTR is helping prepare this workforce by supporting organizations that encourage young women and girls to persist and succeed in STEM. Help us inspire the STEM professionals of the future.
We are a chapter of High Tech Rising, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the number of women working and persisting in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers.
We have been around since 2019 and provide support for organizations in the Bay Area that are improving STEM education and providing engaging and inspiring STEM experiences for K-12 young women and girls.
We look forward to a time when we see more qualified and diverse women – like our founders – in STEM fields.
Spring 2023 program at Boys and Girls Club (over 500 student participants + TI volunteers)
Since 2021, over 1750 students (50% girls) across 5 districts (Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Mountain View, Alum Rock, San Jose) have used these kits
High Tech Rising is proud to announce the 2022 Grant awardees to two organizations in Silicon Valley that offer programs to keep more girls in STEM. These are the first ever grants distributed by High Tech Rising - Silicon Valley.
